IGNITE 2026
IGNITE (Industrial Global Network for Innovation and Technology) is an international program by the Industrial Engineering Department of Universitas Gadjah Mada that serves as a platform for student innovation and collaboration in addressing global industrial challenges. Featuring two flagship competitions—PDEC and WPC—IGNITE fosters creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills aligned with today’s industry needs, while providing opportunities for students to showcase their potential and expand their global network.
IGNITE 2026
A competition in which the white paper submission summarizes the result of research and technology on an issue that can be applied to answer problems. WPC aims to describe the issues to be resolved, the supporting data analysis, and recommendations for the solution given in a sharp, coherent, systematic, and comprehensive manner. WPC also requires finalists to make a showcase about their ideas to be shown at the IGNITE Expo.
A competition that collaborates product design with ergonomics to create a human-centered product that answers the given issue. PDEC aims to describe the product in detail through many aspects, such as relevancy, design feasibility, market research, financial analysis, ergonomic aspects, and more. PDEC finalists will also be asked to make a prototype and advertisement of their product to be showcased at the IGNITE Expo.
